Birkinshaw serves as Dean of the prestigious Ivey Business School at Western University. He is also a Fellow of the British Academy, the Strategic Management Society, and the American Academy of Management.
A prolific writer, Birkinshaw is the author of 16 books including Mindtools for Managers, Fast/Forward, Becoming a Better Boss, Reinventing Management, and his most recent, Resurgent: How established companies can fight back and thrive in an age of digital transformation. Birkinshaw has degrees from the Ivey School of Business and the University of Durham. He has also been awarded honorary doctorates from the Stockholm School of Economics and Copenhagen Business School.
